9 Months Has Flown By!!

Wow. Harper's 8th month has been a HUGE one! Let's see...we went to Costa Rica and she did GREAT while hanging out with my mom! She got her first case of exzema on her face...as well as her first yeast rash on her little bum! It was really horrible at first, but it is all cleared up now! She is constantly saying mamamamama and dadadadada and we're starting to wonder if it's on purpose! Especially when she says mama when she's crying! :) She also gives mama big, sloppy kisses when I ask for them!

She LOVES to be walked around - we hold her hands and she walks everywhere. She cries when we stop! It's exhausting! She is able to get into crawling position - she hasn't figured out how to go forward but she can scoot backwards! She also stood for a few seconds on her own a few times now!! I almost cried when she did it. She has figured out her "Jenny Jump Up" that Uncle GH got for her! She loves it and jumps all over the place!

Also, she is (mostly) sleeping through the night in her own crib!!! The doctor told us it was time to kick her out of our bed as she was waking up 2 or 3 times a night for a little midnight snack. :) The first night was horrible (she cried for 2 hours!) but she's getting better...if she does wake up it's only for a few minutes as we can rock her right back to sleep. I liked letting her sleep with us, but it's actually really nice to have our bed back!!

She's got 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on the bottom) and she's been chewing on everything - I am thinking more bottom ones are coming soon! She is very interested in eating real food. She eats a lot of rice cereal and bananas, pears, squash, green beans, avocados, and yogurt. And she gets little tastes of things we're eating, but we have to be careful because she's learned to take BIG BITES! Oh - and when she went to the doctor for her rashes she was 29 inches tall and weighed 21 pounds, 13 ounces - she's in the 90th percentile for her birthday!

The little angel will be crawling and/or walking and talking very soon!!! And her birthday is in 2 and 1/2 months!!! Be on the lookout for birthday party details. :)
